Whether it’s an adult birthday party you’re planning — or just a casual get-together – a casino card night is the perfect party theme for a fun gathering. No matter if your friends are super serious card players, or more the laid-back board game types, everyone will love cozying up for a night of games and laughter. We know you’re ready to get the party planning started, so check out these five must-have items from our  line of casino party decorations.

  1. Card Night Pop-Up Cards Invitation — These invitations are too fun. When your guests receive these invitations in the mail, they’ll pull an ace card with all the party details out of a pocket-style jack, king, or queen card. If you want, ask each of your guests to bring their favorite games to the party to supplement your own stash.
  2. Card Night Diamond Mini Snack Tray — Our Card Night snack trays come in heart, diamond, spade, and club shapes. Set these around your game room filled with mixed nuts, pretzels, and chips for mid-game snacking. We also recommend serving finger foods like pizza bites, empanadas, jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, wings, and fondue.
  3. Card Night Hanging Cutouts — Just a little decorating will set the tone for your casino card night party. Suspend these hanging cutouts from your ceiling and doorways. Adorn your walls with Card Night Foil Cutouts in heat, spade, diamond, and club shapes. You can also create some fun DIY garland by sewing playing cards and monopoly money to a ribbon.
  4. Card Night Beer Mat Coasters — Chances are you’ll be cracking some cold ones at your party. Don’t ruin your furniture with water rings! Have a stash of club, diamond, heart, and spade coasters for your guests to grab and use when they sit down for a round of cards.
  5. Card Night Playing Cards — You’ll need games, of course! We recommend having several decks of regular playing cards. Also pre-make special decks of cards for games like euchre. It may be a good idea to print out instructions for classic card games in case anyone needs a refresher. For your guests who aren’t big into cards, you can provide other favorite games like Uno, Phase 10, Monopoly, Life, Sorry, and Trouble. You may also want to have a couple group games on-hand that the whole group can play together, such as charades, Apples to Apples, Pictionary, and quiz games like Cranium.

Extra Card Night Tip!

Buying games can add up fast. The best time to build up your collection of games is during after-Christmas sales. Temporary game stores usually pop up in malls and Halloween stores during the holidays. At the end of the season, these stores need to get rid of their merchandise, so they sell the games for next to nothing!

What games do you and your friends love to play during game night?
