Vintage Vixen Wine Tasting
One fun idea is to throw a wine tasting for the guests. One way to do this is to give your guests each a wine card that describes all of the wines being served. Include on the cards information from the wine bottle, including the description of the wine, the year, and the vineyard it’s from. Leave room for your guests to write their own notes about the wine’s aroma, color, and pairing nuances. You could also hold a “blind” tasting. To do this, have your guests try each wine without knowing what it is. Ask them to write their notes on it and rank the wines from their favorite to least favorite. After everyone is done tasting and ranking, reveal what the wines are and read the label descriptions out loud to your guests. When doing a blind test, it’s fun to mix in both pricier wines and inexpensive wines. Many times, the least expensive wines are the favorites!
